Grace Campbell Obituary

Grace L. Campbell, 90, of Rockford, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at home with her daughter Donna (Steve Faulkner) Italio, nephews David (Janet) Clinite and Thomas Clinite. Born February 15, 1931, in Rockford, the daughter of William and Lillian (Carlson) Yetterberg. Graduate of East High School and Rock Valley College. Grace married William F. Campbell on August 23, 1952. He predeceased her on October 27, 2006. She worked for Sundstrand for 17 years and was co-owner of Electrical Wire Management for seven plus years. Grace was a former member of First Evangelical Covenant Church and treasurer of Rockford Area Gardens of America. She was an avid lover of baseball. Grace was on the first women's league in Rockford and was inspired by the Peaches and sometimes practiced with them.
Survived by her daughter, Donna Italio; and several nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her very special Aunt, Anna Carlson who helped raise Grace and her brothers and sisters after their mother passed away giving birth to Grace; infant brother, Burdette Yetterberg; and nine siblings. Special thanks to Sanctuary Hospice RN Becky and CNA Marci and to Visiting Angels caretaker Sandra.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., Rockford, with Pastor Dave Spooner of Crosspoint Church officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. prior to the service. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rockford Peaches Museum at Midway Village, 6799 Guilford Rd., Rockford, IL 61107 or. To share a memory or condolence, visit olsonfh.com.
