Grace Marie Hedinger, 94, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Linda E. White Hospice House.
Grace was born in St. Marks, Indiana on October 12, 1930 to the late Albert E. and Irene M. (Brenner) Hedinger. She began her career working in payroll at Bucyrus-Erie. Grace went on to own and operate The Letter Shop, one of the premier printing shops in Evansville. After retirement she worked at the Stringtown Public Library. Grace faithfully attended St. Theresa Catholic Church in Evansville and Mary Help of Christians in Mariah Hill. She enjoyed playing golf and was past president of the Helfrich Ladies Golf Association. Grace was an award winning photographer and owned a harness race horse for many years. Grace will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Grace is survived by her nieces, Karen Neumann Seiler (Tim), Teresa Thomas Farish (Ron) and Dona Hardesty Hayden (Daniel); nephew, Bob Thomas (Jenny); great nieces and nephews, Mark Seiler (Lisa), Rachel Thomas Celmins (Matt), Robby Thomas, and Dana Hayden Ray (Lucas); great-great nieces and nephew, Addie, Elsie and Palmer; and by her brother-in-law, Tony Neumann.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Winona Rose Thomas (Carman), Dorothy Mae Neumann, Mae Dorothy Risley (William), and Irma Jean Hardesty (Donald); and by a great niece, Emily Seiler.
A celebration of Grace's life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711. Burial will follow at St. Anthony of Padua Church Cemetery in St. Anthony, Indiana.
Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home on Tuesday.
