Grace Peggy Raissis passed away on September 25th, 2023 after 95 years of life. Grace was born a twin on July 18th, 1928 in New York City. The second oldest of five, Grace grew up in the Bronx with her mother and siblings. Her childhood was filled with the circus: tightropes and riggings, headstands and costumes and spectators. Her stories were embellished with these memories. She'd often tell of her mother, the trapeze artist, with her newspaper clipping on the coffee table.
Grace married her husband Micheal, and had two sons; Michael and Scott. A wonderful mother and grandmother, her love for her sons and grandchildren kept her young and smiling. She never failed to mention how much she loved her family- it remains the most important part of her life and her legacy.
She leaves behind her sons, Michael and Scott, and her three grandchildren: Olivia (20), Scott (18), and Charlotte (15). We will all miss her dearly, and remember her with love.
We love you Grandma.
