Grace Smith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alexandria Funeral Home on Dec. 10, 2025.
Grace Adeline Smith (née Morgan), 94, of Cold Spring, KY, went to her heavenly home on December 8, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. Born on February 16, 1931, in Newport, KY, Grace was the daughter of the late Percial and Flora (née Parish) Morgan.
Grace loved her family deeply and enjoyed family gatherings and visits. She will always be remembered for her warm hugs and gentle kiss on the cheek. She cherished family vacations and traveling with her husband. Grace enjoyed cooking for her family, reading and watching detective mysteries on television, going to antique stores. In her younger years, she enjoyed raising her kids, singing in the church choir, teaching the youth in church alongside her husband, and bowling in the church league. She felt called to help others in need because she had been so blessed throughout her life. Grace was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Cold Spring for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Arthur J. Smith Sr.; her sons, Arthur J. (Artie) Smith Jr. and Alan J. (Shaggy) Smith; as well as her parents and siblings.
Grace will be deeply missed by her daughter, Robin (Condell) Jewell; grandchildren, Condell "Cody" (Ashley) Jewell, Aaron (Kiersten) Smith, Jaymes (Kara) Smith, Emily Smith, and Jurgen (Jordan) Fecher; and great-grandchildren Zander, Declan, Maverick, Madelynn, Morgan, and Evelyn. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Morgan, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Cold Spring, 4410 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, Kentucky. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Kentucky.
Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Cold Spring, 4410 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076. Online condolences may be shared at alexandriafh.com.
