Laverne Ann Rust

Laverne Ann (nee Schreiber) Rust, 90, of Crescent Springs, passed away on December 7, 2025 at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills, KY. She was born April 22,1935 to the late John and Marie (nee Sandfoss) Schreiber in Burlington, KY. Laverne was a graduate of Campbell County High School. When her children were young, she was Alexandria's favorite Avon lady. Later she worked for 30 years as an Optician with EyeWorld Optical and Sam's Club, where she made lifelong friends. Laverne loved to read, work crossword puzzles, root for the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, and most of all, vacation in Gatlinburg with her sisters. She is survived by her two daughters; Deborah (Mike) Neises, Donna (Rob) Allen, and son, Steve (Mary Beth) Rust; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Dolores Emerson and Mildred "Mitzi" Popp. Visitation will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, 9:00 am - 10:30 am at Alexandria Funeral Home, (325 Washington Street) Alexandria, Kentucky. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish (8246 E. Main Street) Alexandria, KY.
