Grady Coleman, age 77, who resided in Gray, Tennessee, was born in Berwind, West Virginia, and passed away on August 15, 2025.
Grady served an outstanding military career. He served honorably in Vietnam, then went on to help others begin their own journeys as a recruiter. Following that, he served as a military policeman and later became a decorated drill sergeant. Grady retired from the United States Army with the rank of Sergeant First Class and an honorable discharge, concluding a career defined by dedication, integrity, and leadership.
Outside of uniform, Grady was known for his passions and quiet competitiveness. An avid pool player, he spent countless hours at the table perfecting his craft. He also played guitar and enjoyed horseshoes, winning several tournaments in Tennessee.
Grady wasn’t just a father to his children—he was a father figure to everyone who knew him. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support touched countless lives. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
Grady lived for over 20 years with Teresa Chambers, the love of his life, and is also survived by his three children: Yolunda L. Fischer, Grady Coleman Jr., and Luther J. Coleman.
