Charles S. Coleman Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away June 3, 2024 in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri.  Born December 29, 1956, to Midelene Coleman, Charles was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Missouri.

Charles’ early years were shared with his sister Mary Childress. A graduate of Lincoln High School, he was most recently employed as a Maintenance Technician at Cardinal Ridge Apartments in Kansas City.

In 2006, Charles married Pearl Anderson. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter and joyous memories until his passing. Charles has 3 children from previous marriages, Kevin J. McAlester Sr. who precedes him in death, Charles S. Coleman Jr., and Alexis Wright.

Charles’ legacy is also carried on by his adorned grandchildren. Jordan Benson, Kionna Dickerson, Kevin J. McAlester Jr., Chyann Coleman, Kimaya Wright, Mykeal H. Smith and Kristian A. Loften.

An avid sports fan, Charles found solace in watching live sports and was a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Predeceased by his mother, Midelene Coleman and his sister, Mary Childress, Charles’ memory is honored and kept alive by his loving wife Pearl Coleman, his children, his beloved grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
