Grady Leroy Griffeth, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, May 25th, 2025.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31st, 2025 at Sycamore Baptist Church with burial at Sycamore Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Pastor C.J. Frazier will officiate.  Pallbearers will include Steve Cox, Kevin Stirewalt, Kevin Suson, Bill Schmidt, Ommero Ybarra, Cole Hughes, Sean Higgins, and Larry Richardson.

Grady was born October 11th, 1940 to Alba Waters and Julie May (Kelso) Griffeth in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage November 4th, 1981 to Jonnie Rene Fluker in Dallas, Texas. Grady was retired from Texas Instruments after many years, and went on to become a Farmer/Rancher. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great- grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alba and Julia Griffeth; and a brother, Nolan A. Griffeth.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Jonnie Griffeth of Decatur; his children, Marilyn Kay Snider of Joshua, Mark Eugene Williams of Sachse, Lauri Ann Swinford of Decatur, Randall Scott Griffeth of Decatur, Lisa Rena’ Heiens of Decatur, and James Randall Shilling of Dallas; 14 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Goetschius of Crosby; his brothers, Eddie Griffeth of Decatur and Charles Griffeth of Decatur; extended family members and a host of friends.
