Grady Mitchell Obituary
Mr. Grady Jacob Mitchell, age 80, of Dobson, NC passed away on Thursday October 5, 2023. He was born in Surry County on May 5, 1943, to the late Jacob Preston Mitchell and the late Alice Hodges Mitchell. He was the Owner/Operator of Mitchell Trucking Company, and a member of Blues Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Freddie Mitchell Hiatt; a brother Tony Mitchell. Surviving is his daughter, Karen Mitchell Kale; son, Grady Shane Mitchell; grandchildren, Blake Thomas, Gatlin Thomas, Evan Kale, Garrett Kale, Ezra Mitchell; great-grandchild, Peyton Thomas; sister, Wanda Dobbins; brothers, Roy Mitchell, and Randy Mitchell; special friend Sherry Hunt. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon October 8, 2023, from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. They will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Moody-Davis Funeral home is serving the Mitchell family.
