Grady Perry Womick, age 87, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Fair Haven in Bostic.
Grady was born Friday, March 13, 1936 in Rutherford County to the late Worth Womick, Sr. and Irma Freeman Womick. He served in the Navy and attended Wofford College. He was head of sterilization at Rutherford Regional Hospital. Grady was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and working puzzles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Huskey and Frances Cobb; three brothers, Worth Womick, Jr., Bob Womick and Don Womick.
Those left to cherish fond memories are his nieces and nephews, Jane Cassada, Charles Huskey, Chip Womick, Tim Womick, Sandy Dale, Sharon Graham, Rob Womick, Don Womick, Jr., Jenny Assef, David Womick, Alan Cobb and Jan Franzello.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00am on Thursday, October 12th at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist church Cemetery with Reverend Keys Pendleton officiating.
