Christopher Womick Obituary
Christopher Steven Womick, 50, of Marion passed away at UNC Blue Ridge Hospital on Monday, May 15, 2023.
Chris was born in McDowell County on September 4, 1972 to Robert Womick and the late Diane Laughter Womick.
He was known as an avid golfer. Chris loved the Tennessee Volunteers and was a Washington Redskins fan. One of his favorite hobbies was collecting Superman memorabilia. Chris was a loving father and was very much looking forward to becoming a grandfather.
Including his mother Chris is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Devin Womick.
Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Robert Womick; two children, Annika Womick (Chase Duckworth) and Peyton Womick (Kristyn Gates); sister, Stephanie Womick Allison; a grandson and granddaughter on the way and his best friend, Clinton Reel (Kim).
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 3:00 in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service with the Rev. Snapper Greene officiating. Receiving of friends will take place from 2:00 until 3:00 one hour prior the service.
