Graham Ball Obituary

Graham Kimbrough "Kim" Ball, 77, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 31st in Lunn's Colonial Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A son of the late Martha (Justice) and Malcolm Graham Ball, Kim was born on March 18, 1948, in Wichita Falls. He was in one of the first fully graduating classes at the then-new S.H. Rider High School, and went to Midwestern State University for his bachelors in sociology. He believed in lifelong learning, and spent his retirement working on a "recreational thesis." He also was known for his collection of Silver Age comics and science fiction novels, and spent many weekends in his younger years at science-fiction and fantasy conventions.

The Boys & Girls Club was a family business for Kim. His mother and father both worked as Executive Directors for the nonprofit in various locations over their lifetimes. Kim spent over 40 years working for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls and was passionate about making sure the children of his community had someplace safe and fun to be. Many generations of local children grew up hearing him spin some of his wild stories or saw him perform magic tricks on a rainy day.

Kim was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Elaine (Potter) Ball on February 5, 2021; his father, Malcolm Graham Ball; and his mother, Martha (Justice) Ball.

He is survived by his daughter, Claire Ball.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls.
