Grahm Bentley Kimball was born in Gilbert, Arizona, on June 23, 2012, and passed away, alongside his father, Drew Kimball, in a tragic plane crash on November 5, 2024. Grahm is survived by his loving mother, Tanya Kimball; his sister, Hallie Wilcock (Tex Wilcock); his brother, Jack Kimball; and his grandparents, Jeff and Tracy Kimball, and John and Tammy Myers. He was preceded in death by his brother, Braden Kimball, and by his great grandparents: Sy and Betty Kimball, John "Jack" and Marjorie Myers, Stephen Slack, and John Cancel.
Grahm was born the youngest of four children to Drew and Tanya Kimball. He was happy, fun-loving, and always up for an adventure. By the age of two, he was interested in sports and had a very strong arm. He grew up watching his talented brothers play baseball and couldn't wait for the time he could play, too. When that time came, he was coached by his dad and became an excellent player and committed teammate. He went on to play tackle football and club soccer, playing for East Valley Soccer as a center back. Whatever sport he was playing, he gave it his all and was loved by his teammates.
Grahm enjoyed being on the water. He loved to wake surf and was a natural on the board. Family time was frequently spent on a boat, and Grahm's favorite places to go were Balboa Island and Lake Powell. Some of his favorite memories included riding jet skis with Braden in the mornings, and he used to say that he wanted to have a job that involved the ocean when he grew up.
He admired and respected Hallie, Braden, and Jack, and loved to be around them. Each of them felt like Grahm was their biggest fan, and they, in turn, were his. With three very social older siblings, Grahm got to know all of their friends and became everyone's little brother.
Grahm was energetic and bubbly, loved school, and did well academically. He had the mind of an engineer, and liked to build things to see how they worked. He recently had a goal to learn how to do a standing back flip, and while he had a long way to go, he was working very diligently to achieve it. He wanted to know how to cook, so he ordered Hello Fresh kits to help him learn. He was a daredevil and would often be the first person to jump from the tallest cliff point at Lake Powell. He loved all types of music, including country, pop, rap, and alternative, and the louder it was, the better. Grahm loved his dogs, Rusty and Rita, and he found comfort in having them nearby at night, especially after Braden passed away. He loved his mother and would often do thoughtful things for her, and he frequently sent loving messages to family members. He also had many cousins from both sides of the family that loved him dearly.
Grahm was a very confident 12-year-old with a tender, special heart. He was cool, had great style like his older brothers, and a fantastic sense of humor. He was a friend to all, loved life, and made his family proud. His bright smile and glasses will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. Love like Grahm Kimball.
