Grayson Smith, age 37, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away peacefully at his home on September 20, 2025.

Born on November 17, 1987, in Atlanta, GA, Grayson grew into a man known for his kindness, blunt honesty, and deep loyalty to the people he loved. He had a gift for making others laugh, for listening without judgment, and for showing up when it mattered most. His generous heart and playful spirit left an impression on everyone who knew him.

Grayson cherished time with his family, his beloved dog, and his circle of close friends, as well as the love of his life, Rikki. He enjoyed cycling, getting pedicures, and excelled in his career as a civil engineer. To those fortunate enough to share in his life, he was a source of light, laughter, and comfort.

He is survived by his grandmother, Alice Nelson; mother, Patty Nelson; father, Buddy Smith; and siblings, Brandon (Lindsay) Smith and Hannah (Gavin) Brown. He is also survived by the love of his life, Rikki Myers, and her daughter, Stella; nephews, Luke Brown and Grady Smith; and nieces, Emmylou Brown and Alice Smith. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald Nelson and Grady Smith Sr., and his grandmother, Linda Smith.

A memorial service will be held on October 11, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Dunwoody Community Church in Sandy Springs, Georgia. All who loved Grayson are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.

Grayson's life was a beautiful gift, and though his time here was too short, his legacy of love and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
