Greg "Pappy" Andrews, 66, of Calhoun, Georgia died Monday, April 17, 2023. He was born on September 22, 1956, in Rome, Georgia to the late Alvin Leonard Andrews and Maryann Andrews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Long Andrews; brother, Lynn Andrews; and grandparents, Clarence and Robby Pierce.
Greg was the most selfless person. He loved spoiling his great grandchildren and other kids through church and friends.
He served others graciously and without hesitation.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steve (Lori) Albano; grandchildren, Chasity (Kyle) Higdon, Sabrina (Kevin) Albano, and Ashley (Ruben) Barajas; great grandchildren, Kade Higdon, Kyleigh Kerr, Emmalynn Higdon, Julian Morataya, Cole Barajas, and Ruben Barajas; special aunt and uncle, Ernie Pierce and Wylene Gillespie; special friends and caregivers, Tammy and Jim Mahoney.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be conducted on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Honorary Pallbearers are Jim Mahoney and Ernie Pierce.
