Greg Colip, 72, of Anderson, passed away October 26, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born August 14, 1952 in Greenfield, Indiana to the late Neil Oliver and Jean (Spears) Colip and was a longtime Pendleton resident. 

Greg was a 1970 graduate of Knightstown High School and developed his strong work ethic and character growing up on his family dairy farm which he loved. Greg took pride in his home and farm and enjoyed gardening especially growing his pumpkins and sweetcorn. He was a dedicated member of the Pendleton Emergency Ambulance Service and Pendleton Fire Department for over 40 years. Greg’s greatest passion was helping others in need. In addition to the fire department, Greg retired from General Motors in Anderson and was a longtime employee of Pendleton Trucking Company. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Terry Lee Colip; and wife, Jenni S. (Frazee) Colip.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy L. (Churchill) Colip; his beloved dog, Bailey; children, Chad (Renee) Colip and Staci (Willie) Rigdon of Pendleton; step-daughter; Brandy (Shawn) McClaughry of Middletown; grandchildren, Michael Rigdon, Chloe and Chase Colip, Logan and Ashton Renz, and Sam and Kyle McClaughry; siblings, Carla (Tom) Banner of Lewisville, Candy (Brett) Wilfong of Pendleton and Doug (Brenda) Colip of Charlottesville; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Bozell Funeral Homes- Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with Pastor Jamie Hodson officiating and will include Fire Department honors.

Visitation from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2024 and 10 a.m. to11 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.

Greg’s family encourages those attending to wear casual attire.

Immediately following Greg’s services Saturday there will be a celebration of life gathering at South Madison Fire Territory Station, 100 South Broadway, Pendleton.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to South Madison Fire Protection Territory, PO Box 165, Pendleton, IN 46064.
