HAGERSTOWN- Gregory Allen Darter, 67, of Hagerstown, Indiana passed away Sunday morning June 1, 2025 at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 13, 1957 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Pete and Nancy (Jobe) Darter, Greg graduated from Tri High School with the class of 1975. Greg was a man of many talents with employment in various retail and office positions, but his true passion was interior design and antiques. His most recent employment was as manager of "The Shoppes of East Main" in Hagerstown. Greg was well known for his assistance to so many of his "special guests" with their home décor and garden designs. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Greg is survived by his husband and companion of thirty-eight years, Gary Moffat; sister, Kim (Gale) Huntsman; nieces, Stephanie (Jason) Hayes and Amanda Huntsman; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Per Greg's wishes there will be a Celebration of Life at Hartley Hills Golf Club- 201 N. Woodpecker Road/ Hagerstown, IN 47346 on Wednesday June 18, 2025 from 5-7 p.m.

So sorry to hear of Greg passing. My husband and I have shopped in the stores and loved our visits and talks with Greg. He made our shopping time a wonderful experience. He was one of a kind and we will miss him very much.
