Gregory Dean Morrow, 75, of
Hendersonville, North Carolina, was unexpectedly called home by his Savior on Sunday, May 18, 2025, while doing what he loved-golfing with his friends on a trip in Santee, South Carolina.
Born on November 21, 1949, in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, Greg was a man of deep faith, boundless generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family, church, and community.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 56 years, Belva Jean Holbert Morrow; his children, Kelly LeJean Morrow Hogan (Shawn), Marcie Alesha Morrow Wilson (Wesley), and Marty Bryan Morrow (Deborah Kaye Blythe Morrow); and his treasured grandchildren: Zachary Devon Hogan (Kim Sutton Hogan), Chase Nathaniel Hogan (Mikayla Ritter Hogan), John Russell Bivens (Taylor Berryhill Bivens), Luke Gregory Wilson, Rebekah Isabel Wilson, Ethan Bryan Morrow (Meredith Wilson Morrow), and Kayelee Dianne Morrow. He was also the proud great-grandfather of Chris, Zoe, Kloe, Zander, Ody, and Eden.
Greg is also survived by his sisters, Karen Eileen Morrow Nelson (Dwight) and Tammy Denise Morrow Daniels; his dear brother in Christ, Bruce Musser; and his special nephew, Alex Daniels.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nevels Broncel Morrow and Georgia Leona Rhodes Morrow; as well as his brothers, Nevels Broncel Morrow, Jr. and Bobby Galen Morrow.
Greg was the owner of Morrow Paint & Body - a business known not just for its quality work, but for Greg's unwavering commitment to fairness and kindness. His promise to every customer was simple: "If you have any problems, we will make it right."
He was also a beekeeper and the proud face of Morrow's Bees, known for slinging honey and sharing it generously. Golf was his favorite pastime-he was a regular at Crooked Creek and served as a golf course rater, combining his love of the sport with a passion for excellence.
Greg loved his church family at Upward Christian Fellowship, where he served joyfully, regularly treating pastors and staff to lunch at Morrow's Café. He never missed a chance to serve, whether buying ice cream for school events, fixing cars without charge, donating food, providing Sunday morning donuts and gum for volunteers, or giving in countless unseen ways. His life was a reflection of his Savior, Jesus Christ, whom he loved dearly and wanted everyone to know.
When Greg said he would pray for you, he did. His faith wasn't just spoken-it was lived in daily acts of kindness and compassion. Many kids along the way adopted him as their "Pappaw" at Nanny's.
While his passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him, we rejoice in the certainty that Greg is now at home with Jesus-and we look forward to seeing him again one day.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 12:00–2:00 PM, with a celebration of life service at 2:00 PM at Upward Christian Fellowship, 991 Upward Road, Flat Rock, North Carolina. A private graveside service will follow.
