Greg M. Olson, born on May 5, 1962, in Palos Heights, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025. He lived a life characterized by adventure, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and a profound impact on the lives of those who knew him.
Greg dedicated his professional career to the field of technology, serving as an Enterprise Storage Solution Architect. Greg’s educational background included a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering & Technology, which laid the foundation for a successful career.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Greg was a devoted father, proudly raising two children, Brian Olson and Brittany Olson. He took immense joy in their lives and consistently supported their pursuits, showcasing his deep love and commitment as a parent. Greg is also survived by his brother Jeff Olson and sister Chris Olson, who shared many fond memories with him over the years. Additionally, his ex-wife, Diane Olson, remains a part of the tapestry of relationships that defined his life.
Greg had a zest for life that was unmatched. He embraced each day with an adventurous spirit, riding motorcycles and relishing the beauty of the great outdoors. His love for nature and exploration resonated with those around him, inspiring friends and family to appreciate and engage with the world in meaningful and adventurous ways.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Pat Olson and Roy Olson, whose guidance and love shaped the man Greg became. Their enduring influence will always be remembered as a source of comfort and strength in Greg's life.
A visitation in memory of Greg will take place on November 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Kerry Funeral Home, located at 7020 West 127th Street, Palos Heights, IL 60463.
Greg M. Olson will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but for the love he shared with his family and friends. His adventurous spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him, reminding them to live life to the fullest, just as he did.
