Gregory Vincent Aliberti
Viera – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gregory Vincent Aliberti who left us on March 2, 2025. A man of wit, wisdom, faith and unwavering determination, he lived his life on his own terms, always bringing laughter, insight and strength to those around him.
Born on September 23, 1971, in Winter Park, Florida, Greg had a natural curiosity and sharp mind that made him a lifelong learner, a quick thinker, and a problem solver. His humor was legendary – whether with a well-timed joke or clever observation, he could lighten any moment. But beneath the laughter was a man of deep conviction, one who stood firmly by his beliefs and never shied away from speaking his truth.
Greg graduated from Florida State University with his Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice. He spent his entire career dedicated to law enforcement since 1997. He later became a Lieutenant for the Division of Alcohol Beverages and Tobacco (ABT) for the State of Florida and was a member of the Special Response Team, a Field Training Officer and Line Supervision Trainer.
Though Greg was dedicated to serving others through his work, what was most important to him was his family. Greg was a beloved Husband, Father, and Brother. He loved his family fiercely. Outside of work, Greg enjoyed taking cruises with his family or exploring various places throughout the US. Greg's hobbies included spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, singing Karaoke, coaching sports, watching football, and attending concerts with his son and friends.
He is survived by his wife Susan Aliberti and son Vinny Aliberti, Viera; his stepson Steven Couch, Gainesville; and his sister Suzanne Aliberti, Orlando. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Ann (Vincent) Aliberti.
Though he is no longer with us, his spirit – bold, brilliant and full of life – will never fade. Rest easy, Greg.

Susan, Vinny, Steven and Suzanne,

I am so so sorry for your incredible loss. I will never forget the day Susan and Greg met, their beautiful wedding and the birth of Vinny. He was a great man, husband, father and friend. May you all find peace and comfort during this most difficult time. Praying for you all.
