Gregory Peter Bauer

Gregory Peter Bauer of Grand Ledge passed away November 8, 2023, in Lansing surrounded by his loving family. Greg was born November 26, 1940, in Portland, Michigan. He graduated from Portland St. Patrick Catholic High School in the Class of 1957 and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. Greg enjoyed his career as a Grocery Merchandiser. He was a longtime faithful member of St. Michael Catholic Parish and served in numerous ways throughout the years. He enjoyed camping with his wife Carol and always looked forward to spending time with his daughters and grandchildren, who brought him great joy.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Carol (Griffith); daughters, Brenda Carol Fair, Deborah Jean (Fiancé Todd Bassett) Haigh and Caroline Elizabeth (Spencer) Freed; grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica) Fair, Deanna (Fiancé Dimitri Shelton) Haigh, Trent Haigh, Ellissa (Elijah) Nightengale, William, Katie and Grace Freed; great-grandchildren, Georgia, Lucy, Remington and a great-grandson on the way.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, November 13, 2023, 11:00 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 345 Edwards Street, Grand Ledge, Michigan 48837 by Father James Eisele. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4:00 PM and 6-800 PM with a Rosary at 7:30 PM at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge and Monday at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Memorial contributions in Greg's name may be given to St. Michael Catholic Church.
