Gregory D. Bayless, age 64 of Crawfordsville, passed away on July 7, 2025 at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville. He was born on February 12, 1961 to the late Jerry and Joy (Quisenberry) Bayless in Crawfordsville.
Greg was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School, Class of 1979. He worked as an operator and binder at R.R. Donnelley and Lakeside Book Company for over 40 years, retiring in 2024. Greg enjoyed the outdoors and feeding birds, cats, and the occasional raccoon. He loved sports, especially basketball, football, and racing. Greg was always listening to music and going to concerts, mostly classic rock. He was a loving grandfather and loved spending time by the creek with the grandchildren.
Greg is survived by his children, Jesika (Marcus) Manges and Zackary (Lindsay) Bayless; 8 grandchildren, Reid, Colbie, Quinn, Jude, Olive and Ezra Manges and Carson and Liliana Bayless; siblings, Brenda (Robert Warnick) Bayless and Brian (Samantha) Bayless; and nieces, nephews and extended family. He will also be missed by his stepdaughter, Heather, and her daughters, Aubrea, Christian, and Hadley.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 4-6pm at Sanders Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville. In honor of Greg's love of music, his family welcomes everyone to wear your favorite band shirt.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, 1104 Big Four Arch Road, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
