Greg was born on September 4, 1947 to Edna May and Harmon Robert Camp in New London, Connecticut. After graduating from Bishop England High School, Charleston SC in 1965, he went on to serve in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, studied Accounting at San Jose State and received his Masters of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
One of the most considerate souls on this planet, Greg was a thoughtful, giving man who worked to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. He was a man of strong faith, teaching his family the importance of being honest and doing what is right. Greg was a diehard fan of the San Francisco 49ers, could often be found golfing when he was not at home and enjoyed gardening.
Greg s family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Married to his beautiful wife Angela for over 51 years, he was endlessly proud of daughter Melissa, son-in-law Matt, grandchildren Samantha and Ava and sister Maureen. Anyone who knew Greg knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for.
There will be a viewing and memorial held at Crippen & Flynn Carlmont Chapel on Thursday, June 16th from 4pm-7pm at 1111 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont, CA. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Church on Friday, June 17th at 10am. Burial will be held immediately afterward at Holy Cross Cemetery in Menlo Park, CA.
