Gregory Dawley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. - Rochester on Mar. 6, 2023.
Gregory A. Dawley
August 16, 1961 – February 23, 2023
Greg went home to be with the Lord Thursday morning after a long, exhausting battle with cancer. Greg wanted to be remembered as a struggling, forgiven sinner. He was a lover of Jesus and wanted to remind all that the battle is real as we walk this earth.
Greg served in the US ARMY as auto mechanic for the military police. He was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas and Frankfurt, Germany. Greg was awarded the sharp-shooter and expert Spearhead mechanic awards. He was honorably discharged after a horrific car accident in 1982.
Greg loved to watch his children play and grow. He was very proud of his children and their accomplishments. He had a passion for muscle cars – especially Chevy's. He was proficient at auto paint and body work. He worked several years at Brighton Collision as head painter. He then went on to establish and own Integrity Auto Repair in Rochester, as he desired to switch out of the paint and body scene as a living. He pursued his passion of cars at his leisure at his home as well. His latest project, restoring a 1967 Chevelle, never did get completed. He also enjoyed freshwater fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Casler) and children, Hannah and Daniel. Also surviving are his mother, Camela (Durante) Dawley of Malta, New York, brothers, Clinton, Jr. (Laura) of Texas, Ken (Brenda) of Melbourne, Florida, and Liz (Forrest MacDonald) of New York as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held March 18, 9:30 am to 11:30 am at The Miller Funeral and Cremation Service, Inc. 3325 Winton Rd. S, at the corner of Jeffferson Rd and Winton Rd in Henrietta, NY. Followed by a Memorial Service at Calvary Chapel of Rochester, 2505 Browncroft Blvd, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. All friends and family are invited.
In lieu of flowers, Greg would love to have one of his favorite ministries supported. Please go to www.thebereancall.org to make a donation in his honor.
