Gregory S. "Greg" Eaton, 65, of Troy, IL, born Thursday, August 27, 1959, in East St. Louis, IL and passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 24, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Greg graduated from Ranken Technical School and started his own Eaton Heating and Cooling and retired after 24 years of service to the community. In 2015 he attained his CDL License and drove for Beelman Trucking and retired in November 2022.
He loved his God, Jehovah, his family, motorcycles, dirt bikes, deer hunting, fishing, boating, playing the guitar and keyboard. To know Greg, you knew his humor, wit and sarcasm, traits that he passed on to his children and grandchildren.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret (nee Bouillon) Eaton; his stepmom, Dolores Eaton; his brothers, Bruce Edward and Charles Michael Eaton; and his sister, Deborah Lynn Eaton.
Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Cheryl (nee Harris) Eaton; his children, Laina Jones of Wood River, IL, Jared (Amanda Mackey) Eaton of Highland, IL and Casey (Jenn) Eaton of Swansea, IL; his grandchildren, Cameron and Kaylee Jones, Emma and Ethan Eaton; great-grandson, Hayden Jones; and his brother, Steve Eaton, brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Memorials may be made to Kingdom Hall, 1423 St. Clair Ave., Collinsville, IL 62234. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at www.Richesonfh.com
A memorial service for Greg will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 2 pm and talk at 3 pm at the Collinsville Kingdom Hall, 1423 St. Clair Ave., Collinsville, IL
