I had the great pleasure of working with Mike for more than four decades, first as a fellow member of the media and later doing corporate media relations. Every encounter was memorable, productive and mixed with humor. He was a consummate professional and a good friend who will be missed dearly. Condolences to his entire family and the legion of friends he made during his remarkable life.

Mike was one of my favorite cousins. We would meet each year when I was home from Arizona, and have breakfast or lunch or he´d visit me at my Mom´s [Sarah (Phares) Heberling] home/farm in White Hall, IL. He will be very missed & I will always miss seeing him when I´m visiting. May he RIP & enjoy sharing his heavenly home with Betty & my Mom!
