Gregory M. Fedro

Gregory M. Fedro, age 68 of Avon Lake, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024.
Beloved husband of Sylvia (Hermo) for 43 years. He was born in Fairview Park, Ohio on February 28, 1956 to parents Mike and Anne (Zavada) Fedro.
Greg grew up in Fairview Park and graduated from Fairview High School and Bowling Green State University. Greg retired in 2018 from Retail Management. Working for 25 years with K-Mart and then 17 years for the TJX corporation.
Upon retirement, Greg and his wife purchased a vacation home in mid Ohio, where he kept his Crestliner fishing boat at Clear Fork Marina.
Greg was a true sportsman. He traveled to 40 states and several countries/nations while fishing and golfing. His favorite vacations were flying into Canadian outposts to fish, deep sea fishing off the Outer Banks of North Carolina and fishing in Alaska.
Greg received numerous Fish Ohio citations, as well as from North Carolina and Canada. His love of fishing was reflected on his license plate for many years: FSHOH.
His interest of fish extended at home where he maintained a 55 gallon aquarium of tropical fish.
He was also an accomplished musician, playing the alto saxophone at various venues.
In his younger days he played softball and belonged to the Cleveland Darter Club. Winning several trophies together with his teammates.
Greg also liked to garden and visit his many friends at the American Legion, Post 211, Avon Lake.
Greg is also survived by his loving sister Alexi (Mitchell) Fine, niece Jessica (Chase) Budinger, niece Diana (Jason Burton) Singleton, great-nephew Beckham Budinger and great-niece Olivia Burton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to express their gratitude to HamedDaw, M.D. of the Moll Cancer Center and his entire team for their compassion and care. Also, the exceptional Cleveland Clinic Hospice team and the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center Laboratory in Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, Greg requested donations be made to the Friendship APL animal shelter (Elyria), St. Thomas the Apostle Church (Sheffield Lake) or the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center.
The family will receive friends on Saturday November 16, 2024 from 3:00-6:00 pm. at the MISENCIK FUNERAL HOME,
36363 Detroit Rd. Avon. Interment will be private.
