Gregory J. "Gronk" Kankoski, age 70 of Indiana Township passed away on January 10,2025. Beloved husband of Mary Abate Kankoski. Loving and protective father of Jessica Goeller (Rick), Cara Kankoski and Erin Pavone (Peter). Cherished pap of Sophia Evelyn Pavone, Olivia Marie Coon, Cooper, Lucas, Jacob and Peter Goeller. Son of the late Anthony and Gertrude Pawloski Kankoski, Brother of Keith Kankoski (Cindy) and Doreen Martin (Mike).
Gregory graduated from Lower Burrell High School and played football for the Burrell Bucs. Greg then went on to play football for the University of New Mexico and University of Pittsburgh. Due to successful career moves, he lived with his family in various states, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maryland only to return home where he was employed by Bombardier Transportation. Greg enjoyed tackling complex electrical and mechanical issues as Vice President of Transportation Control Systems, Inc. He was creative and enjoyed home construction projects. When he was not working, his past time activities included spending time with his family and friends, skiing, ice skating, scuba diving, golfing, fishing, biking, cooking and traveling.
Visitation Thursday January 16th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt.Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116. Mass of Christian Burial Friday the 17th at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 2510 Middle Road, Glenshaw, PA 15116. Everyone Please Meet At Church.
