Gregory Laughridge Obituary
Gregory James Laughridge, 25, of Marion, passed away at residence on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
Greg was born on August 11, 1998 in McDowell County to James Vernon Laughridge, Jr. and Kellie Ann Barrier Hines. He graduated from McDowell High School with the class of 2016. Greg was currently working with his father in the family construction business, McDowell Building LLC. He was a self- taught musician who enjoyed music and also enjoyed collecting Star Wars memorabilia. Greg was a great dad, husband, son, and brother who will be missed by all.
Surviving Greg including his parents, James Laughridge, Jr. and Kellie Ann Barrier Hines are his wife Zoey Laughridge; his daughter, Luna Drew Laughridge; his sister, Mary Ives and husband Andrew; paternal grandfather, James Laughridge Sr.; several aunts and uncles; one niece and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 7:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Marion. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
