I am so sad to hear about Sam. Our daughters went to school together and grew up in Orange City. We lost touch, but never forgot Dawn and Sam. Later Sam and my husband John were in touch through their classic cars. I will pray for all your peace and comfort. It is a journey that is not welcomed by many. Love to all.

I met Sam when I was about 13 when they moved into the neighborhood I grew up in. Him and Dawn excepted me into their family and treated me like family and when I got older Sam gave a job and we spent a lot of time working together. Then they moved back to Orange City and I always kept in touch and would go and visit them and as we got older and I would go visit and sit on the back porch and just talk for hours. And those were the best times. I will miss those times and will always love Sam and Dawn for everything they did for me. I loved them and will miss Sam dearly. Rest in peace my Brother.

We are relatively new neighbors to Sam & Dawn. They kept pretty much to themselves but, when we did interact it was always pleasant. He was a good neighbor, once a very important parcel was simply thrown over the fence near his driveway and when he noticed it, he brought it to our home, not knowing it was extremely important and time sensitive! I am so sorry for your loss, & that we didn't get to know him better. May the Lord comfort you as you grieve the loss of one so much a part of your life.
