Gregory J. (Gary) Loehrer, age 89, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Patricia T. (Pat) Loehrer (nee Wisniewski).
Gary is survived by his by five children: Cathy (Bill) Holnagel, Margaret (the late Mike) Snyder, Paul (Kimberly) Loehrer, Mark (Kim) Loehrer, and Patti Loehrer. He was a proud grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren (also affectionately known as "Grandpa Great"). He is also survived by his brother Gene (Chris) Loehrer, sister Karen Loehrer, sister-in-law Mary Ann (the late Terry) Scott, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Gary worked for Wisconsin Bell (AT&T) for 37 years. He and Pat were longtime members of St. Veronica Catholic Church, where they formed many lifelong friendships. Gary enjoyed time with his family and friends, as well as model railroading and nurturing his many geranium plants. Gary was known for his humor (that stayed with him until the end) and for the way he made others smile and laugh.
The family is grateful to the staff at Allay Home and Hospice for their great care and kindness in the final days of Gary's life.
Visitation at the Funeral Home on Thursday, April 10, 2025, 10:00-11:00 AM. Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
