Gregory Lorenc Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home - Standish Chapel on Jan. 12, 2026.
Gregory Walter Lorenc, known affectionately as Greg by his loved ones, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on July 25, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, he was a man whose life was marked by dedication, kindness, and a warm, loving heart.
Greg was a proud graduate of Cody High School in Detroit, Michigan. After graduation, he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, a period of his life that instilled in him a sense of discipline and community service that he carried throughout his life. Upon returning to civilian life, Greg embarked on a successful career at a local Ford dealership, where he applied his mechanical genius to collision work and car painting. His colleagues often remarked on his attention to detail and his unwavering commitment to excellence in his craft.
On May 22, 1976, Greg married the love of his life, Cynthia Joan Krzeminski. Their union was a beautiful testament to love and partnership until her passing. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, kindness, and an open door to friends and family.
Greg's life was one of connection and contribution. He was the kind of neighbor everyone wished for, always ready to lend a hand or fix anything that needed repair. His mechanical inclination wasn't just a job; it was a way of life that brought joy to those around him.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Greg found solace and joy in his garden and yard work. His hands were often seen covered in soil, tending to his plants with the same care and affection he showed to those around him. He also had an immense love for cats, which were his constant companions and brought him great comfort and happiness.
Those who knew Greg would describe him as loving, kind, and thoughtful. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special and valued. His gentle presence and considerate nature were a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Greg is survived by his brother Ralph Lorenc; and his adoring nieces and nephew, John, Janice, Ruthann, Gail, Wendy, and Lisa, who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Cynthia and his parents, Theodore and Lillian Lorenc.
Greg's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire. His life was a journey of love, laughter, and selfless giving, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. As we say goodbye to Gregory Walter Lorenc, we celebrate the remarkable life he led and the countless lives he touched with his generous spirit.
Per Greg's wishes cremation has taken place with no services planned at this time. Arraignment's have been entrusted to Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish, Michigan.
