Mr. Gregory Lamar "Smiley" Milner

Greg, or Smiley as he was known by many, was born June 11, 1976, to Sarah Ogletree Milner and the Late John Milner in Thomaston Ga.
Greg Departed this life on March 6th, 2024, at Upson Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father John Milner, Grandparents Wardell and Bessie Ogletree Sr.
Greg received his formal education from Griffin-Spalding and Pike County Schools, He accepted Christ at an early age.
Greg was a hard worker and employed with Atlas Roofing for fourteen years and later Wabash until his health declined.
Greg enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of Easy Knights Motorcycle Club. He also loved working on and painting cars, not a day went by that he didn't grab that toolbox and go either raise a hood or slide under a car.
Greg leaves to cherish his memories his wife Erica Dukes Milner, five daughters, Demeria Milner, Natori Milner, Kenyata Favors, Kanecyia Freeman and Erin Freeman, two sons, Gregory Nichols and Alante' Miller; six grandchildren, Malaysia and Judah Favors, Josiah and Jonah Smith, and Alante' Jr and Jalani Miller: Mother, Sarah (Frank) Carrington, Sister, Tenedra (Reginald) Shelby, two brothers, John Milner and Wardrell (Jacklyn)Howard, one Aunt, Essie Mae Parham. One uncle, Wardell Ogletree Jr, Sister-in-law, Dianne Wynn Harris, two Brothers in law Thomas Dukes Jr. (Chequila Alexander) and Anthony (Geraldine) Dukes, two special Cousins, Angela Passmore and Sheila Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service hour. Interment will follow in New Mt. Calvary Church Cemetery. Pastor Lamar Dewberry is the Eulogist.
