Gregory M Narajka, resident of Wallingford for 39 years, beloved husband of Suzanne (Lavigne) Narajka, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2024. He was born on February 22, 1957, in Denver, CO and moved to Stamford, CT with his family in time to begin kindergarten.
Greg graduated from the University of Connecticut and went on to be a Buyer/Expeditor for several local companies including Sikorsky, Kaman Precision Products, Standard Knapp, and RFS Technologies.
Greg was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Polish National Alliance (PNA), both in Wallingford. He was proud of his Stamford Waterside neighborhood roots and was known for his humor and quick wit. He loved music and attending concerts, playing cards, and being with friends. He was an avid UConn, Green Bay Packers and Yankees fan. He loved to find the best deals on cars, furniture and other large purchases, but the highlight of his mornings were the almost daily video chats with his grandson.
In addition to his wife, Suzanne, he is survived by his sons, Gregory Narajka and his wife, Bethany of Pittsburgh, PA and Nicholas Narajka of Meriden; his sister, Patricia Narajka and her partner, Helen Gregory; his brothers, Jeffrey Narajka and his wife, Candice and Matthew Narajka; his grandson, Wesley; his niece, Ione Narajka and many other nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Nancy (Zimmerman) Narajka and his cousin, Karen (Lesnikowski) Albano.
Greg's family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 4 pm until 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 North Colony St, Wallingford. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Wallingford Wishing Well, 382 N Cherry St Ext, Wallingford, CT 06492
