Gregory L. Simms

Gregory L. Simms, age 74, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away on February 18, 2026. Greg was born December 11, 1951 to the late Floyd & Nancie Simms, in Columbus, Ohio.

He was a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School, a proud Navy Veteran and self-employed for over 35 years. Greg enjoyed all family gatherings, (so he could pick on everyone). Playing cards was his greatest passion and cruising anytime. He loved life, family & great friends.

In addition to his parents, Floyd & Nancie (Benton) Simms; Greg is preceded in death by his brother, Douglas G. Simms.

Greg is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marlene (Lyons) Simms; daughters, Danielle (Mike) Kidwell of Carroll, Ohio and Jennifer Pidock of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Darrin (DJ) & Justin Pidock, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Alex (Nick) Glanzman of Columbus, Ohio, Jordan Kidwell & Cole Williams of Lancaster, Ohio; sisters, Debbie Oaks of Palm Beach, Florida, Tracy Simms of Millersport, Ohio; brothers, Mark (Jenny) Simms of Pataskala, Ohio, Aaron Simms of Cincinnati, Ohio; step-mom, Donna Simms of Millersport, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation/gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, February 24th, from 3 to 6 pm to share and celebrate Greg at Pfeifer-Woodyard Funeral Home, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
