Gregory (Greg) J. Sweedy, 75, of Randolph, passed away at home on Thursday, March 5, 2026,after a battle with cancer.

He was born in Dover, NJ to the late John and Marjorie Sweedy. Greg was a lifelong resident of Randolph and graduated from Randolph High School in 1969.

Following graduation, Greg began his career as an auto mechanic and owned Greg's Gulf Station in Mount Freedom, New Jersey. He later transitioned into construction, becoming the owner and operator of South Road Landscaping & Excavating, which he ran for over 40 years. Snow plowing was one of his favorite aspects of the business.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shari (Kovach) Sweedy; his two sons, Gregory Michael Sweedy and his wife Nicole of Succasunna, New Jersey, and Alex John Sweedy of Brooklyn, New York; and his two cherished grandchildren, Brandon Robert and Logan Michael. He is also survived by his sister, Virginia "Ginny" Lettorale, and her husband Richard of Wharton, New Jersey, as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Lucy and Brodie, who were a constant source of companionship and joy.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 2:00-6:00PM located at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph. Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project.
