Gregory A. Zbinden, 60, of Weston, Ohio passed away on Wednesday October 16, 2024. He was born on August 31, 1964, to Jim and Christina (McCaig) Zbinden in Grand Rapids, Ohio. He married Tammi Shaffer on April 28, 1990, and she survives in Weston, Ohio.
Greg owned and operated a home repair and landscaping company called Complete Quality. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed all things outdoors including camping and fishing. He loved old cars, being an owner of a 1967 Mustang. Over the years he got the pleasure of coaching his stepson and grandsons' baseball teams and loved every minute of it. He was an avid San Fransico 49'ers and Michigan University football fan. Greg was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church in Grand Rapids, Ohio. Above all else he cherished the moments he got to spend with his loving family.
Along with his wife of 34 years, Tammi, Greg is survived by his mother Christina, stepson Chad (Jordan) Wittes, sisters Amy (Jayme) Lane, Lisa Giampaolo, grandchildren Trevor Wittes, Dylan Wittes, Destiny Wittes, great-grandchildren Virginia Patton, A.J. Wittes, niece Adrianna, nephews Andrew, Zachary, Dylan and a little boy whom he cared for dearly Carson.
He was preceded in death by his father Jim, grandparents John and Marcella McCaig, Samuel and Alice Zbinden.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday October 23, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church located at 14010 S. River Rd. Grand Rapids, Ohio. Father Tuscano will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home Tontogany, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude’s Hospital.
