Greta Robb McCarty, age 95, of Electra, Texas passed away, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico with her daughter at her side.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2026, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Greta was born August 25, 1930 in Electra, Texas to the late Dink Morris Robb and Violet Estelle Myers Robb. She graduated from Electra high School.
Greta married the love of her life, Martin McCarty, on December 25, 1949. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2005.
She was a homemaker throughout her life. Greta was a member of First United Methodist Church of Electra. She enjoyed collecting dolls and bears and loved each and every one of them.
Survivors include one son, Terry Van McCarty and wife, Valerie of Canoga Park, California; one daughter, Lucy Barrera and husband, Mario of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; two granddaughters, Robbi McCarty Constantine and husband, John of Austin, Texas, and Kimberly Gallegos of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; one grandson, Jonathan Barrera and wife, Veronica of Laguna, New Mexico; great-granddaughter, Lila Bailey Wray of Austin; great-grandson, Cash of Austin; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was also was preceded in death by her son, Tony Robert McCarty on August 31, 2024 and one granddaughter, Nicole Leihmier on October 22, 2021.
The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 846, Electra, Texas 76360.
