Greta J. (Dexter) Washer
December 1, 1927 – January 21, 2025
MEXICO, NY - Greta J. (Dexter) Washer, 97, of Mexico, NY; passed away Tuesday January 21, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. Greta was born on December 1, 1927 in Baldwinsville NY, daughter of the late Leon and Jennie Brown Dexter.
Greta was a 4H Leader for 22 years. She was a member and matron of the Eastern Star and a member and past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Silver Crest Lodge #229 Mexico, NY. She was a former member of the Mexico Methodist Church and presently a member of the Mexico Baptist Church.
Greta is predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Washer.
Greta is survived by her four sons, Robert Jr., Walter (Patricia), Dexter (Geneen), John (Karen); her three daughters, Cheryl Washer, Annette (Bruce) Richardson; and Elouise Washer along with several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
A Funeral service to celebrate Greta's life will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday January 30, 2025 from the First Baptist Church of Mexico 4369 Church Street, Mexico. Relatives and Friends are invited to call from 4 – 6 p.m. at the church prior to the service. A Spring burial will be in Mexico Village Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Mexico Baptist Church. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. Mexico, NY.
