Mildred Washer, 101, of Morristown Corners, passed away at The Manor on June 23, 2025.
Mildred was born on February 3, 1924 in Morrisville, VT, to Mabel (Robinson) and Bert Walton. She attended People's Academy. She married Lyle Washer, Sr., and together they had two children, Skip and Susan.
Mildred always lived on a dairy farm. In her early years on the farm, she raised chickens and sold eggs. She also joined her husband on old-fashioned milk deliveries around town. Mildred loved cats and especially enjoyed sitting on the back porch and watching the bustling of the farm.
She enjoyed visiting with family on holidays and especially loved the kids, who kept her feeling young and sharp. Mildred also enjoyed Meals on Wheels and visiting with her friends and community there.
Mildred is survived by her son, Lyle "Skip" Washer, Jr. and his wife, Robin of Morrisville; her daughter, Susan Lombardi of West Danville; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Lyle Washer, Sr. and her parents, Bert and Mabel Walton.
