I had the pleasure of meeting Gretchen through my work, and assisted her with some technology woes. She was such a delightful woman, and the world is surely dimmer for her passing.

Gretchen was a wonderful friend and neighbor who will be greatly missed. Shortly after moving in next door, Gretchen became dedicated to Jeanne's health issues and was always available to be with her. She was not only a comfort to Jeanne, but also graciously opened her lovely home to us, and to our grandchildren. Gretchen had the gift of making every occasion feel like a party and making you feel like the special guest. She cared deeply about all her friends and always showed an abundance of love and concern for their wellbeing.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Chris, Doug, and their families on their loss of a vibrant and caring mother, grandmother, and friend.
Fondly,
Dave and Jeanne Nelson

So sorry to hear this. My wife, Marilyn McClory, worked with "Gretch" on several HCSC Marketing Conferences. They had a great time and became friends. Marilyn passed away last year, but I'm sure that they have gotten together to plan the biggest conference of all. Gretchen was a wonderful person and will be missed.
Condolences to her entire family.

While I haven't seen Gretchen in almost 40 years, I well remember what a terrific person she was as a fellow employee of the former Trans Union Corporation. She was high-spirited and full of life and always interested in helping her colleagues. When she heard that I had purchased a house in Deerfield, she popped over with two elegant brass candlesticks to grace the fireplace base -- that's the sort of person she was. The one time I was in her home, she was so proud of her two young sons and showed me lots of photos of them. They clearly meant a lot to her. It's hard to believe that so many years have passed and those neat little kids now have families of their own. Gretchen was a wonderful, elegant person, and I have many great memories of her from the increasingly distant past. Another reminder of how quickly our lives move along. My deepest condolences to all.
