Griff Clements

Walter Griffin "Griff" Clements, 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at his residence. Griff was born on February 17, 1947, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Walter Vincent Clements and the late Effie Lucinda (Griffin) McGaughey. He was a longtime employee of the City of Warner Robins, where he dedicated many years of service as a land surveyor before his retirement. In his spare time, Griff enjoyed fishing, hunting, swimming, and celebrating the Fourth of July. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, holding a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Griff was preceded in death by his sister, Grace Hopper, and his brother, Joe Clements. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Linda (Braun) Clements; his son, Walter Clements, Jr. (Karen); his daughters, Elizabeth Butler (Kristian) and Claudia Malcom; his grandchildren, Casey, Samantha, and Jacquelyn; his great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Jonah; and his brother, Larry Clements. A memorial gathering to celebrate Griff's life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
