Grover Thomas Leuck, age 86, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and family. Tom was born on July 31, 1939, in Lafayette, Indiana, to Francis and Grover Leuck. Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
On September 14, 1968, Tom married the love of his life, Doretia. Their marriage was one filled with devotion and partnership, lasting 53 years until Doretia's passing on January 21, 2022. Together they built a life centered around family, faith, hard work, and a love for their community.
Tom and Doretia raised two children: Vanessa Cochran and LuCinda Stahlman. He was a proud grandfather to Natasha Henry, Trey Cochran, Mason Cochran, and Wren Stahlman.
Throughout his life, Tom was a hardworking and determined person who worked in construction and built homes since he was 18 years old, including his own house in Fowler, Indiana where he raised his family with Doretia.
In his spare time, Tom volunteered as an elementary boys basketball coach at the Sacred Heart Elementary School. He coached for a total of 32 years and was a mentor to hundreds of children through his decades as a coach and a leader. Tom and Doretia were longtime members at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fowler, Indiana.
Tom spent the final two weeks of his life in LuCinda's home in Terre Haute, Indiana. Under the care of daughters LuCinda and Vanessa, along with the helpful presence of Elara Caring Hospice, Tom was well cared for, unconditionally loved, and able to have some cherished moments with his close family. Tom leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly. While their hearts are heavy, they find comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his wife he mourned and loved.
His life was a testament to devotion, strength, and a never-ending love for his family.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be shared at www.hahngroeberfuneralhome.com
