Mrs. Guadalupe Larumbe Antu was called home to be with our Lord on May 7, 2025 at the age of 85 years
.
Lupe was born in Mexico and was a lifetime disciple of Our Lady of Guadalupe. At age 12 she entered service and learned to be an excellent cook and housekeeper. Anyone who arrived on her doorstop was offered and received a home cooked meal and beverage as well as a "to go" box for lunch the next day.
Lupe was blessed with a "green thumb", she could take a snip of any plant and it would grow for her in the most impossible of places. She loved to work on her yard, keep her neighborhood clean and check on the welfare of her neighbors.
Finding a good deal was a passion for Lupe. She would scour flea markets and garage sales looking for items mostly to help others. Countless items of clothing, furniture and knick knacks found their way into her friends, family and neighbors homes.
She is preceded in death by her husbands Manuel Martinez and Jose Epolito Garcia Antu, as well as her daughter Linda Ann Martinez.
She is survived by daughters, Cynthia Antu, Martha Serna and her husband Vincent, as well as sons Rudy Martinez and his wife Margo, and Ruben Martinez. Grandchildren Christina, Christopher, Jonathan, Jason, Valerie, Joseph, Monica and Veronica and multiple great grandchildren.
SERVICES
On Saturday, May 24, 2025 Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. then the Rosary at 10:30 A.M. and the Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4201 DeZavala Road. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
