Guadalupe G. Saucedo

Guadalulpe G. Saucedo, age 75, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 22, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family here in Del Rio. She was born on May 29, 1949 in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico.
This strong woman of faith worked hard her entire life caring for her family with loving hands. She helped raise her younger siblings without hesitation before continuing that amorous nature as a mother to her four children.
In the same manner, she applied herself as a model employee. She worked at several locations including Texas Apparel, several small restaurants/cafes and Cedars Supper Club. She later applied and was hired at Sirloin Stockade, where she worked for 18 1/2 years.
It was no surprise that her dedication spilled over and flourished as she deepened her relationship with our heavenly Father. It was this relationship that lit a spiritual fire within her. She was a proud member of the spiritual community: Comunidad San Pedro. As a Sacristan for 20 years, she took great care of our Lord's Alter and His servant's Priests. The Holy Spirit moved her to also join two choirs: Grupo Espiritu Santo for 20 years, and Grupo Guadalupano for seven years. Along with those ministries, she was also inspired to become a Eucharistic Minister for 17 years.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 46 years, Reynaldo M. Saucedo; parents, Bernarda and Jose T. Garcia and Lilia and Julio T. Garcia; brothers: Martin Garcia and Julio Garcia Jr.;
Family members left to cherish her memory include her children: Sandra Saucedo Guerrero and husband Baldemar Guerrero of Del Rio, Reynaldo Saucedo Jr. and wife Flora Aguilar de Saucedo of Del Rio, Maria G. Smith and husband Raymond H. Smith of Del Rio, Jose M. Saucedo and Brenda Carrizales of Del Rio; siblings: Oralia Uriegas, Enedina Vasquez, Lilia "Mica" Garcia, Jose A. Garcia, Miguel A. Garcia, Laura Garcia, and Pedro Garcia; Guadalupe is also survived by numerous grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Faith. A Holy Rosary will be held at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Abraham Saucedo, Brandon Smith, Jose Saucedo Jr., Julian Saucedo, Pete Garcia, Billy Guerrero, Ray Smith and Jose Angel Garcia.
