Guillermina "GiGi" Rivera

Guillermina "Gigi" (Rosado) Rivera, age 87, of Easton, MA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
She was born on Oct. 11, 1937, in Lares, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Juan Rosado and Maria (Santiago) Rosado. She was sister to Juan Rosado Jr., and preceded in death by her other siblings William Rosado, Samuel Rosado, Rosa Rosado, Felix Rosado, Ismael Rosado, and Nelita Rosado Toledo.
After coming from Puerto Rico with her husband, the late Carlos Rivera Sr., they moved to Boston where she owned her own hair salon. They later moved to Holbrook to raise their six children. They retired to Florida and moved back to Massachusetts and settled in Easton later in life.
She was married to her beloved husband Carlos Rivera Sr. for 49 years before his passing in 2004.
Gigi was a devout and faithful Catholic and was a dedicated parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church in Easton. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella and Women of Grace. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She volunteered at My Brother's Keeper in Easton, the Easton Food Pantry, The Father Peyton Center in Easton, and The Charity Guild in Brockton.
She will be forever remembered for her kind and charitable nature, her faith, her positive and outgoing personality, and the love she had for her family and loved ones. She will be deeply missed.
The beloved mother of Heidi Raffanello (Victor), of Yarmouth Port, MA; Carlos Rivera Jr., of Raynham, MA; Raymond Rivera (Ericka), of Spotsylvania County, VA; the late Norman Rivera (Diane), of Akron, OH; Sylvia Mann (Gary) of Easton, MA; and Diana Tarr (David) of Easton, MA. She was the loving nana to 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear friend and companion Kenneth Wood, of Easton.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6, from 4-7 p.m. at Kane Funeral Home, located at 605 Washington St. in Easton. A funeral Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, located at 193 Main St. in Easton, on Wednesday, May 7, at 10 a.m. Immediately following the Mass, a burial service will be held at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, located at 97 Canton St. in Easton.
