Michael "Big Mike" Alwin Keegan
January 10, 1965 – October 2, 2025
Michael Alwin Keegan, known to nearly everyone as "Big Mike," passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, surrounded by his family who loved him dearly.
Born on January 10, 1965, to Vivian Eleanora Haynes Keegan and Raymond Fredrick Keegan, raised in Easton, Massachusetts, Mike grew up with a generous heart, a deep love for his family, and a presence that made him unforgettable.
Mike was the proud father of his children: Emily Vivian Keegan, Michael Raymond Keegan, Nicole Reingold, and his late daughter, Elizabeth Keegan. He was a grandfather to his first grandson, Christopher Michael Billings. He is also survived by his sisters Amy Keegan, Kathleen Keegan, Carol Nolan, and Charlene Linn, along with many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his daughter, Elizabeth.
At his side, also holding his hand when he passed, was Loretta "Lori" Shaw Keegan, his partner in life for many years and the mother of one of his children. Though their paths later took different directions, the love between them never left.
For most of his life, Mike could be found building fences across the community. As a longtime employee of Sweezy Fence and Hawkeye Fencing, he left his mark not just in the wood and iron he worked with, but in the trust and friendships he built with those around him. If you saw a sturdy fence in town, there's a good chance "Big Mike" had a hand in it.
Beyond his work, Mike had two great loves: his family and his Harley Davidson. His bike was his pride and joy, and riding gave him a sense of freedom like nothing else. With the wind through his hair, and the open road ahead, that was where he felt most alive.
Mike also cherished time spent with his family up in Pittsburg, New Hampshire, where many trips were filled with laughter, stories, and learning about family history. He loved camping with his children and creating memories around the fire that will be carried on for generations.
Those who knew Mike will remember his humor, his loyalty, and the way he never truly said "goodbye." One of his famous sayings was, "It's never goodbye, it's I'll see you later."
Big Mike will be deeply missed by his children and his family, but his spirit will ride on in the memories of those who love him, forever.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation hours on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, in Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton. Floral arrangements tributes are welcome and appreciated by the family.
