Lieutenant Colonel (retired) Guillermo Cisneros passed away peacefully at his home in Mesquite, Texas, on December 6, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on May 1, 1949, in Tijuana, Mexico. Guillermo was the beloved son of the late Carmen Matilde Galvan Pumarejo and Eduardo Cisneros Jimenez.
Guillermo's journey of dedication and service began with his graduation from Brownsville High School in 1967, followed by earning a bachelor's degree in Entomology from Texas A&M University (College Station) in 1971. Shortly thereafter, he married the love of his life, Tamae Patricia Vaden, on April 13, 1972, in Dillon, South Carolina, marking the beginning of a lifelong partnership.
His commitment to his country was exemplified through his service in the United States Army, where he served with honor until his retirement in 1996. Following his military career, Guillermo continued to inspire young minds as a JROTC instructor at Seagoville High School and Conrad High School, retiring in 2012.
Guillermo was a man of diverse interests, passionately involved in pigeon racing as a member of the Dallas Homing Racing Club. He was also an enthusiastic sportsman, enjoying racquetball, softball, and football, and took great joy in watching his grandsons participate in sports.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tamae; his children, Antonio, Kristina, and Leticia; grandchildren, Isaac, Finnegan, Nathanael, and Ronin; brother, Edward; sisters, Leticia and Adriana; and numerous nieces and nephews. Guillermos legacy of service and passion will be cherished by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held on December 29, 2024, from 11am to 1pm at
Audubon Recreation Center.
