Guillermo Ramon Falla, affectionately known as "Memo" or "Papa", passed away
peacefully on April 8, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on November 14, 1944, in Managua,
Nicaragua, he lived a life defined by love, faith, and quiet strength.
In 1970, Guillermo embarked on a courageous journey to Los Angeles, California. By
1979, he and his beloved wife, Esmelda, along with their three children-Flavia,
Guillermo, and Virgilio-settled in Pittsburg, California, purchasing their first home.
There, they built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and faith, later welcoming two more
sons, Rafael and Alejando. Their home became the heart of a growing family, a testament to Guillermo's unwavering devotion.
Guillermo and Esmelda shared a beautiful marriage that lasted 57 years - a union built
on deep love, commitment, and mutual respect.
For over 25 years, Guillermo worked as an apartment maintenance technician, a role that showcased his strong work ethic and servant's heart. Known for his dependability and generosity, he was always ready to lend a helping hand.
A devoted member of St. Peter Martyr Church in Pittsburg, Guillermo actively
participated in the community, living his faith with humility and grace. His commitment to
God shone through in his daily life, inspiring those around him.
Guillermo was deeply loved-a quiet man with a big heart, always wearing a gentle smile. Easygoing and accepting, he ensured his family's needs were met, offering comfort
through his steadfast presence and selfless actions. Above all, Guillermo was a devoted husband and father. He was a constant in his children's lives-supportive, playful, and endlessly caring. His joy was boundless with his grandchildren, who cherished his goofy, loving spirit.
Each morning during school drop-offs, Guillermo recited Ephesians 6:10–17 to his
children, a daily reminder to carry faith and strength. His life embodied this scripture:
rooted in love, guided by faith, and marked by quiet courage.
Guillermo is survived by his beloved wife, Esmelda; his four sons, Guillermo, Virgilio,
Rafael, and Alejando; one granddaughter; five grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
He now rests in peace alongside his cherished daughter, Flavia.
His legacy endures in the lives he touched, the values he instilled, and the love he gave
so freely. Guillermo will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
