Malcore Funeral Home and Crematory - EastGuy La Plant, 64, of Green Bay, passed away March 27, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Green Bay on October 4, 1961 to Leonard Jr. and Nancy La Plant. He graduated from Preble High School in 1980 and attended UW- Green Bay. In 1983 he moved to Houston, TX, where he met his life partner and husband Joseph Dykema. They celebrated 43 happy years together. In Houston he worked as a Concierge at fine hotels and met many celebrities. Guy worked at Continental Airlines as a reservationist for 10 years and he retired in 2024. Guy and Joseph were world travelers and loved experiencing other cultures. He loved music and was a drummer. He performed with the Americanos Drum and Bugle Corps. He loved cooking and enjoyed creating new recipes. From childhood on he enjoyed magic and performing tricks. Guy had a kind heart and a wonderful sense of fun and humor and enjoyed jokes and pranks.
He is survived by his husband, Joseph Dykema; sister Linda La Plant and nieces nephews, cousins, and friends.
Guy was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Visitation at Malcore Funeral Home, 701 N Baird St., Saturday April 11, from 1 PM until 3 PM.
